Our Zero-Server Guarantee
We do not operate backend servers that accept, read, process, or save your documents. Every action on LegalPDFPro is handled in-memory within your browser tab. Your files never traverse the web to any external server.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
When you select, drop, or input documents (such as PDF or Word files) into any tool on LegalPDFPro:
- We do not upload the files to any web server.
- We do not read the file contents remotely.
- We do not share your files or database records with third parties.
- No file data is cached or kept outside of your own browser's volatile tab memory.
2. How Local Processing Works
LegalPDFPro employs standard modern browser technologies, including:
- HTML5 File API: Enables reading files directly within the local browser sandbox.
- WebAssembly (WASM) & Client JavaScript: Compiles and parses raw document bytes (using engines like
pdf-lib) entirely on your local CPU.
Because all processing happens on your local CPU and in volatile memory, closing the browser tab permanently cleans up all temporary memory allocation.
3. GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA Compliance
For lawyers, healthcare administrators, corporate professionals, and financial officers, compliance is mandatory.
- GDPR & CCPA: Since no personal identifiable information (PII) or document content is transferred or stored, there is no risk of cross-border data transfer violations.
- HIPAA: LegalPDFPro does not act as a Business Associate (BA) under HIPAA, because we never touch, access, or store Protected Health Information (PHI). Your compliance safeguards remain fully on your local workstation.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We may use basic, anonymized web analytics to measure page visits, bounce rates, and browser dimensions to improve our UI structure. We do not utilize tracking cookies or target marketing ads based on your documents.
5. Changes to this Policy
We reserve the right to refine this policy. However, the foundational design of LegalPDFPro—that file processing is completely local and offline—is absolute and will never be modified.
